Cheeni Kum- Sugar Free Romance!

They say life is sugarless without love but now we would witness a sweet yet sugar-free romantic love story of a 64 year old but young at heart man Buddha (Amitabh Bacchan) and Neena (Tabu) who is 34 year old.

Buddha is a chef and owner of SPICE 9 restraunt in London. Single, psychic and obsessed with his profession.
He lives with her mother who is yet more interesting and funny. Next to his house lives Sexy-a sweet little girl who is struggling with her breath-suffering from cancer. She is very close to Buddha and they share a great chemistry onscreen.

Spice 9 is an authentic-cuisine Indian restraunt and Buddha is very proud of it. His life goes on with the other funny chefs and manager who is buck-toothed! Whom others call Colgate as his teeth takes a front seat and breaks the barriers of his mouth.

One day suddenly Buddha's Life changes when Neena comes with her friend to spice 9. Where she orders mouth-watering Jaffrani Pulaav which is rejected by her as it is sweet. Buddha gives him a peace of mind accusing her of not knowing what real India food is and she leaves the restraunt without saying anything! Next day she sends her home-made Jaffrani Pulaav.

Slowly this mad-out of the box chemistry sparks and they fall in love with each other.
Buddha calls her "tangdi kabeb" and she calls him "ghaas phus"..uhhmmm pyar se!
Paresh Rawal (neena's father) acts the funny villain of the movie who is against this marriage.

The dialogues are witty and tickling without being pervert. Sexy steals the show though she is just about 8-10 years old.
Amitabh Bacchan looks fresh and lively. He can beat any hero whatever maybe his age and success.

Tabu is an actress of true Genre. We should learn to take notice and respect these gems of Bollywood.Songs are light n humming.
Overall Cheeni Kum is refreshing for a change. Simple yet spicy. Sugarless yet sweet.
cheeni kum is worth watching!
